What is the difference between Customer Service in the private sector and the public sector?
In the private sector, we pride ourselves in customer satisfaction, full refunds not questions asked and if another similar complaint is received it would be cause for an investigation to identify and rectify the problem. In the public sector, if 2,000 concerned citizens complained about an issue it is considered a small minority and ignored. If 40,000 concerned citizens complained about an issue they are considered a public nuisance and no attempt is made to focus on the issues raised. All is however not lost. Kudos to our top civil servant for his swift and decisive action following his visit to MPAJ.
